Can't believe I forgot this from the Ricky Gervais XFM show. They're discussing the simple test to measure a band's potential for global domination which involves seeing how well the name sounds when announced to a large stadium, i.e. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage 'Loose Change!'" vs "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage 'The Beatles!'"
Steve Merchant gets out a list of old 60s bands who enjoyed only minor success and brings up "The Scaffold," which prompts Ricky Gervais to chime in with a bit of musical trivia, followed by the best part: a hypothetical Christmas dialog between them...
