Obituary

I think this is the most beautiful obituary I've ever read, and a great story about a person who probably led a wonderful life. It's amazing how much more effective this writing is for me than the obituaries you would see in a newspaper:

He never graduated from high school, but he made the most of his opportunities and worked hard to provide for his family. He worked a while with the CCC and welded ships in a Philadelphia shipyard during the war. He had a lot of common sense and talent with tools to make things out of metal and wood. He had a gift for gardens. He treated others with respect. He loved God and his family.

I hope someone writes such things about me someday (far in the future). Except the part about not graduating from high school, 'cause I'm a doctor, bitches.

About me I want it said, "He was not a MAVEN LADY."
