Maybe This Week - Number Thirteen

This Saturday Maybe turns thirteen weeks! We'll be officially out of the first trimester. Maybe has developed reflexes. If I prod my belly, she'd squirm in response. She also has fingerprints now. If Maybe is a girl, she already has 2 million eggs in her ovaries. It is crazy to me that I may be carrying some of my grand kid's genetic material! She will start practicing inhaling and exhaling now. And she's the size of a Meyer lemon, about three inches long, and weighs about as much as four quarters.

I think it is safe to say that the worst of the nausea has abated. Still some smell sensitivities and food aversions, but nothing like the first few months. I am just HUNGRY all. The. Time.
