Maybe This Week - Number Nine

Maybe is nearly an inch long, about the size of a grape. The major
development this week: Shoulders! Hear that, Pappi? All of Maybe's
other joints are working as well, like his elbows, wrists, knees and
ankles. His "embryonic tail" is gone. His heart has finished dividing
into four chambers and the valves are forming. And his teeth are
forming! The eyes are fully formed but the eyelids are fused and won't
separate until week 27. He has tiny earlobes and his mouth, nose, and
nostrils are more distinct now.
