Betsy just sent this article to me about the differences between fathers, nurses, and doulas with regard to a laboring woman. It's reasonably well referenced and very clear. I thought it offered good summary of why doulas are useful, backed up by decent statistics. Some of you have asked me questions in the past, so I thought I would share.
