Could I Become a Liberal...Again?

I read the article by Peggy Noonan that Chas referred to in his Free Pass piece and I admit, it was beautifly written. I especially liked this line:

"But let's be frank. Something new is happening in America. It is the imminent arrival of a new liberal moment. History happens, it makes its turns, you hold on for dear life. Life moves"

Will liberals actually do something with the moment they have been given? Or will they descend into the usual leaderless morass. With Obama in charge, a new story may be written. It's hard to deny the charisma and "presidentialness" of our President-elect. For the first time in my memory (and that's a long time!), we have a president who actually inspires. The last was Kennedy who was assassinated when I was just 11. Since then its been a string of politicians who were always the lesser of two evils for me. And even though I didn't vote for Obama, I am not sad that he won. Can he withstand the slings and arrows? We'll see. But I'm tired of failed presidencies. I'm ready for success.
